Lynnette has over 15 years of experience working with dogs and their owners. She holds memberships with various professional organizations, competes with her own personal dogs, and donates her time to several local animal rescue organizations and local 4H Dog Clubs. She is also a Dog Care Merit Badge Counselor for the Boy Scouts. She founded Siriusly K-9's in 2009, and became an Approved AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator in 2010.
Her specialty is in canine behavior. She finds helping dogs through their fear, anxiety, and aggression issues satisfying and important to the community. She has been called a "Dog Whisperer" by a number of her students because of her ability to read, understand, and communicate effectively to the dog.
Lynnette believes that every dog, just like every person, has their own distinct personality and not all dogs learn the same way. For that reason, she employs several different techniques to assist the learning process, and always uses the dog's natural talents and instincts to her advantage.
Lynnette currently holds a Bachelor of Science from Western Michigan University and is pursuing her Masters in Canine Sciences and Behavior. She stays up to date with the latest dog training techniques by attending dog training and behavior seminars and workshops from renowned trainers and behaviorists around the world.
Bethany has been working with dogs for over 20 years, and has been instructing owners on how to train their dogs for over 10 years. She competes with her personal dogs, is a professional conformation handler in the AKC, and, for the past several years, has been a judge in the Van Buren County Dog Fun Match for Rally-O and Agility.
She is a Massage Therapist with a keen understanding of canine anatomy pertaining to massage and stretching techniques, which makes her invaluable for canine injury prevention during the training of canine sports.
Bethany joined the Siriusly K-9's family in 2011, though her friendship and professional affiliation with Lynnette began several years before. She shares the belief that every dog is different and has the capacity to learn if the right techniques are used.
Bethany currently works for the Animal Rescue Project, assists with several Siriusly K-9's classes, donates her time to the local 4H Dog Clubs, and is nearing completion on obtaining her professional dog training certifications, including APDT membership and becoming an Approved AKC CGC Evaluator. With Lynnette, she participates and attends dog training seminars and workshops.
